From me: her focus and determination... when she is trying to figure something out, nothing will interrupt her. Also, her annoyance at being woken up early or disturbed after a nap before she has had her 'alone time' to fully wake up.
From Rey: her energy... the girl simply does not sit still.
Highlights of the last month -
- She is pulling up like a champ and has started taking a few steps along the furniture.
- She has finally decided she loves food. I was getting a bit worried that she would never eat. She is mastering finger food and is a pro with puffs and cheerios. This week I'm going to have her try some soft fruits and veggies and see how she does.
- Her first tooth finally popped through! The lower left tooth came through last Saturday. She was a bit of a mess all week (not sleeping well, not wanting to eat much), but we couldn't figure out why because she had no other teething signs. It all made sense once we felt that sharp little tooth. I'm fairly certain the next one is going to make it's appearance in the next day or two.
- I got a job and am now back to working full time. It has been a bit of an adjustment for the entire family, but we seem to be figuring it out. We get out the door a couple minutes earlier each day and have gotten into a pretty good routine for drop off and pick up at daycare. Maya doesn't seem to mind being in daycare five full days and really does love playing with all her friends in her class. There is a little girl who is two weeks older than Maya and her dad and I drop the two of them off at the same time each morning. We always sit them together and they start chatting up a storm, as if they are filling each other in on what happened last night. It is going to be fun to watch them grow up together.
I can't wait to go to McDonald's with you my little princess!
