Ski Bunnies

This year we decided to get Maya enrolled in ski lessons... my attempts to teach her last year were far from successful and we thought this might be a better route.  We are lucky that one of the teachers at the girls' school is a ski instructor so we got Maya signed up with her.  The "class" is just three kids, Maya and her two best friends from school, with Miss Bre as the instructor.  We have had three lessons so far and the strides she has made already is amazing.

Of course, Laurel wants to be involved as well.  Unfortunately, they don't make ski boots small enough for her tiny feet so she is using the strap on ones.  The first week she refused to get on them because she decided she wouldn't wear purple snow pants (insisted they should be pink).  Sorry kid, no snow pants, no skiing.  Luckily yesterday she decided purple was OK and we took her out.  She had a blast!

I am so excited that they are having fun.  Skiing was such a big part of my childhood, I can't wait until we can all get on the hill together!

Trying on all the gear at home.

Ella, Maya, Laney.  Ready to hit the slopes!

Practicing the pizza.  This week they skied without the "edgie-wedgies" keeping the tips together and did great.  Next up will be a chair lift!

Laurel laughed the entire time.  Even when she fell!

And we finish off each lesson with a few snow angels.
