And She's One!!

Holy cow, how did time go by so fast? Maya is fully embracing toddlerhood and I have to admit, so are we. Life has become so much fun as she explores and masters her new skills. She's 17lbs 1/4 oz (5%) and 27 1/4 inches (5%). Small, but proportional :-)

- She has become quite the walker and rarely gets on her hands and knees to crawl anymore. I'm loving this because it makes playing outside much, much easier. Plus, she can now wear all the cute dresses that just frustrated her when she was crawling.

- Her favorite thing to say is 'uh oh' and she will drop something on purpose just to be able to say it. She is also starting to identify 'dada' and 'mama' as us. Daycare is convinced she is saying things like; cracker, baby and book, but I have yet to hear it.

- She has started to pick up sign language from watching one of her friends in her class and is signing 'more', 'please' and occasionally 'eat'.

- She moves up to the next room at daycare next week. I was a bit nervous, but when we visited the room to meet her new teacher she didn't want to leave. She's ready and is going to have such a good time playing and learning with all the big kids.
